Million-dollar award will expand Alco’s reach into plumbing market segment
(Elyria, OH)- Alco Manufacturing announced today that it has recently been awarded a million dollar contract to produce precision-machined brass and aluminum components for bath and shower fixture assemblies for global plumbing fixture manufacturer, Delta Faucets. The plumbing fixtures will be used in residential construction and sold at leading retail home improvement stores nationwide. Alco will produce these parts in volume at their brass/aluminum Center of Excellence located in Grand Haven, MI. and will assist Delta in keeping pace with record-breaking demand for residential fixtures as the housing market continues to accelerate. Alco has been serving Delta with precision machined parts for over a decade.

This agreement will see over a million bonnet nuts produced on Alco’s Hydromat production line, an area of particular expertise for Chris Hendrix, Engineering Manager at Alco’s Grand Haven facility:

For this reason, we are able to pivot and respond quickly to their needs as they arise. In this instance, an upsurge in the market led to a higher-than-anticipated demand for our customers’ products that an overseas supplier simply could not meet. As a strategic partner, Alco is able to step in and make sure our customer has adequate inventory to maintain market share and satisfy demand for their products without sacrificing on price or quality.”
This mutually beneficial agreement was just the latest in a long line of successful engagements for Alco Manufacturing in the plumbing and faucet industry. Since the beginning of the year, Delta also agreed to source several other critical internal plumbing fixture components with Alco, including a large order for unleaded brass Tip Spouts and Ferrules. The most recent award from this customer has a nominal value of over $1M US.
